Hello! I am an experienced teacher and tutor with a master's degree in Special Education and a partial master's degree in Reading Instruction. I have had much success in tutoring students, grades 3rd through college in all areas of need, since 1994. My most recent first grade client went from small group instruction, in danger of failing, due to reading and math deficits, to above average grades and general classroom instruction. I believe the key to successfully helping students to achieve is to find their style of learning and provide motivational instruction. An educator must know their student's strengths and challenges and likes and dislikes, in order to construct an individualized program that will lead to enthusiasm for learning and pride in achyeivement. I look forward to the possibility of assisting you/your child in discovering his/her strengths and preferred method of learning to ensure a stable educational foundation and successful academic future.
